A Dreadful Vision

By Abegail G. Teodoro

When he was finally awaken,

He gazed at the man, his eyes were full of untold pain

He hoped that one day, he’ll let that man be in that torment,

the release that feels like a downfall, a pain that is forever, an unending predicament

His lethal stare felt painful and piercing

He envisions him to suffer, exposing the truth, he was keeping

His eyes were a knife in the man’s ribs, the sharp point digging deeper

Uncomfortable with the void, he had filled it with an emotion—raw anger

The unmoving gaze was accompanied by deliberate slow breathing,

like he was fighting something back and loosing

He was able to kill that man because of something,

But with that unworthy vision, he ended up dying
